This eyeshadow has a matte finish. It is a creamy beige colour, that is seriously pigmented. A little goes a long way with this one. This is best used as a base colour. Woodwinked it by far my most used eyeshadow. It is definitely in my top 3 Mac eyeshadows. It is a warm red toned brown colour, with a bit of a metallic shine.
I’m sure that a few of you, like me, are self-confessed eyeshadow addicts. While I love a good palette, I also think it’s a great idea to collect single pan shadows and create your own palettes. MAC eyeshadows are my all-time favourites. The colour pay off is great, they have a good selection of matte and pearly shadows and the shadow collection spans through every possible colour you could ever wish to put on your eyelids. The range is vast and you’re always going to find something to suit your skin tone and eye colour. I have decided to do some quick and easy eyeshadow combinations to suit the colour of your eyes.
In this post, you will learn how to enhance blue eyes and make them mesmerize. Pink, lavender, taupe, copper and cranberry shadows will make blue eyes sparkle, but my go-to colour combination to create stunning smoky eye looks for blue eyes is gold and brown. Prep the eyes with some primer and MAC Vanilla or MAC Ochre eyeshadow. Create a simple smoky eye by carefully placing All That Glitters, a lovely neutral shade, over the lid and inner corners. This has a nice bit of sparkle to make the eye pop. Keep applying layers of shadow until you are happy with the desired effect and blend.
Use Cork above the crease as a transition shade and blend upwards. Also use this to lightly define your outer V. Use a rich brown like Embark to add more depth and definition. Place it right into the crease and define your outer V. This will give the desired smokiness to this look out and create a Cat Eye effect. Bring this down under the eye and blend it into the lower lash line. This defines the eye.
Make sure to blend all your colours together to buff out any harsh lines and to create a seamless eyeshadow effect. Line the eyes with MAC’s Power Point Eye Pencil in Engraved and if you want some winged liner on your top lashes, line with the Inglot Gel Liner in 77.

Finish with lashings of mascara and some false lashes if desired. Bronze, Woodwinked and Amber Lights are some other fab colours that work beautifully on blue eyes. Apply your chosen colour to the entire eyelid and blend. Smudge some black kohl liner along the top lash line and cakeline the waterline to achieve a sultry effect. Again, layer on the mascara. These work beautifully with a nude lip at this time of year, or a rich red lip in winter.
Beauty Marked is a sexy, sultry dark purple that has glitter particles in it. This is a beautiful shadow for a night out. Line and tightline as before. And lots of mascara! I also love Expensive Pink, a gorgeous champagne colour for blue eyes. What are your favourite combinations for blue eyes?

Have you got beautiful brown eyes? Do you need eyeshadow combinations that are guaranteed to make your brown eyes smoulder? Here are my MAC choices for you.
Golds, coppers, rose golds and pink tones are stunning on light brown eyes as they highlight the intensity of colour within the eye. Retrospeck, All That Glitters, Expensive Pink, Tempting, Woodwinked and Amber Lights are all beautiful golds, rose golds and coppers to use on the lid. Add definition to these looks with beautiful browns – such as Antiqued, Bronze or Embark. Use the deeper colours on the crease and the outer corners. Patina ‘a taupe brown with a hint of gold’ really enhances brown eyes.
Combine it with Mulch for the perfect eyeshadow pairing. Similarly, Satin Taupe and Mulch work well together. Gorgeous greens, such as Sumptuous Olive, wear amazingly with a hint of black on brown eyes. Either use some black eyeliner to tight line, or define or smoke out the look with a black eyeshadow such as Typographic or Carbon. Blacks and greys also work beautifully on brown eyes. Try using Vex on the lid. Vex is a stunning silvery grey, or try Copperplate if you prefer a more intense matte effect.
Use a black like Carbon or Typographic in the crease. This will work well on all age groups. Adjust the amount of black shadow used to suit the level of definition and intensity that you want the look to have. More mature ladies might only want to use a hint of black to create some subtle definition. Knight Divine is a beautiful shade to use all over the lid.
It’s a gorgeous muted black with a silver pearl that looks amazing with lashings of mascara and black kohl pencil. If you want to take this look to the next level and make your eyes truly mesmerise, use Black Tied instead of Knight Divine. Black Tied is an intense black with glitter particles and is perfect for nights out or for Debs. This look is probably better suited to younger ladies, but again, it’s all down to personal preference. Image: MAC Brown eyes can pull off a huge variety of colours.
If you want to create a colourful look – purples, teals, cobalt blues, navys, hot pinks and reds can all look amazing. Satellite Dreams paired with Nocturnelle is a gorgeous combo on chocolate eyes. Or invest in the palette which features some nice subtle navys and greys to play around with.
Intense colours such as Coppering and Sushi Flower can work well on chocolate eyes and really suit darker skin. Use a subtle reddish brown such as Chocolate Swiss in the crease to add depth.
Brule is the perfect colour to highlight the brow bone and the inner corners of the eyes, while black, navy and white eyeliners all look amazing on brown eyes. And definitely ensure that you invest in a great and a fabulous brow product.
I cannot fault the. It offers incredible value for money and is every bit as good (if not better than) its rival products.
